Travel to Italy through art and design! With an NGV educator students will see the sites, from Venice to Rome, and discover stories of Italian culture, history and life through paintings, sculptures, and decorative objects from antiquity to the present day. This engaging introduction to Italian art and culture will complement student learning in language, visual arts or social studies.

This program will be tailored to the level of the students.

Students will:

  • Analyse and discuss Italian works of art and design from different contexts and times.
  • Reflect on how cultural and historical ideas are expressed through Italian art and design.
  • Consider the influence of Italian art and culture in history and contemporary life.

Duration: 1 hour
Cost: $11 per student
